The Healthcare experts from SAARC nations met in DHAKA on the September 7,2019. Participating member countries were Bangladesh, Pakistan,Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Nepal Bhutan, India. The objective of this program is to control and prevent of diabetes by 2030. The Healthcare experts unanimously agreed to some recommendations for the SAARC nations including standard treatment guidelines and protocols, integration of counsellor and diabetes educator,an integral part of diabetes care mandated by the SAARC government. This program is funded by Ascensia Diabetes Care, Singapore.
