    • It was the first follow study to observe the prevalence and incidence of diabetes in rural Bangladesh. 
    • Developed 1st diabetes risk score in Bangladesh for identifying people at risk, developed country-specific cut-off levels for anthropometric parameters, and glycated hemoglobin.
    • The observed association of diabetes with risk markers including body mass index, waist circumference, metabolic syndrome, and lipids in rural Bangladesh.
